About me
Hello! Bonjour! Olá! ¡Hola! Namaste!
My name is Susanne Toito, I am a neurodiverse mom of three, a teacher, a writer, researcher, and translator. I have taught French, Portuguese, and Spanish as well as yoga to people of all ages.
My first love has always been language and literature! I enjoy reading and learning which is one of the reasons I teach others. I am an Ontario certified teacher, an ATIO certified translator (French to English), and Yoga Alliance 500-hr certified yoga instructor. Read more about my teaching experience in my Teacher tab, if that’s where you feel we can connect.
Writing comes naturally to me, when I’m inspired! I write poetry, short stories, witty reviews and more! Have a look at my Writer tab if you want to know more about my creative writing.
I hold a Masters in Translation Studies and I am member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO), recognized by the CTTIC (Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council). Check out my language combinations, experience, specializations, research and publications in the Translation tab.
Yoga is my home. It has been a refuge for me in my toughest times. I strive to live my yoga (interpret that how you may…) and am passionate about the philosophy and mental health benefits that a regular yoga practice imparts – the physical benefits, in my view, are just the icing on the cake! Your can read more about my training and experience here in my Yoga tab.
I’m so lucky to have so many passions that I can pursue, and sometimes I combine them ,which may seem chaotic to some, but if that’s piqued your interest, let your fingers do the walking…
(For those who do not recognize it, the reference is to when we thought we had the world at our fingertips because we had a massive book delivered to us that contained an infinity of land-line phone numbers – The Yellow Pages).
