I am trained in Hatha Yoga (this is what all yoga teachers in the West start with), but I have years of experience and practice in many styles of yoga. I can customize sessions to meet your needs!
Yoga really is unconditional! Anyone can do it! Poses have many variations and modifications to fit every body and I am passionate about making yoga accessible to any person, in any body!
Whether you are looking for the mental heath benefits or working on flexibity – yoga has a unique way of taking care of the whole person: mind, body and soul. I believe in beginning each session with a focus on breath, which is maintained or revisited throughout the session, and ending with a guided meditation or body scan, to leave my students feeling refreshed, and relaxed.
Here are some types of yoga that I have experience in:
- Hatha yoga: each of these sessions has a balanced set of poses (balance, inversions, twists, etc.)
- Vinyasa/flow yoga: poses are carefully sequenced to flow from one to the other, gracefully
- Restorative yoga: blankets and props are used to find the most comfortable version of poses – poses are held for an extended amount of time, passively (think ‘opening’ rather than ‘stretching’)
- Yin yoga: poses are held for an extended amount of time with the intention of getting deep stretch and improving flexibility
- Yang/yin: in a yang/yin class you can expect to have a more active start to the class, while the second half of the class is a yin style, holding poses for longer periods of time
- Yoga Nidra – yogic sleep
- Fusion pilates/yoga-style fitness (NTY method certification).
- Yoga for Athletes
- Yoga for Mobility and Endurance
- Introduction to yoga
- Chair yoga… and more
